When a ball is thrown upward and reaches the same level as when it was thrown, its final velocity at that point will be equal in magnitude but opposite in direction to its initial velocity.

Since the initial velocity is given as 50 m/s, the final velocity at the point where the ball is at the same level will be -50 m/s. The negative sign indicates that the ball is now moving in the opposite direction compared to its initial throw.
