The Earth revolves around the Sun counterclockwise. From a top-down view, if we consider the North Pole of the Earth as a reference point, the Earth orbits the Sun in a counterclockwise direction. This counterclockwise motion is also known as "prograde" or "eastward" motion. The Earth completes one full orbit around the Sun, known as a revolution, in approximately 365.25 days, which is the basis for our calendar year.
