The original Foucault pendulum, also known as the "Pendule de Foucault," is currently located at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France. It was installed there in 1851 by the French physicist Léon Foucault to demonstrate the rotation of the Earth. The pendulum consists of a long, heavy bob suspended from a cable, and its oscillation plane appears to rotate slowly over time due to the Earth's rotation. The Musée des Arts et Métiers houses a collection of scientific instruments and inventions, and the original Foucault pendulum is one of its notable exhibits.
