The Sun is not stationary. It is in constant motion within our galaxy, the Milky Way. Specifically, the Sun orbits around the center of the Milky Way along with billions of other stars. This motion is relatively slow, taking approximately 230 million years to complete one orbit, which is known as a galactic year or cosmic year. Additionally, within the Solar System, the Sun and all the planets, including Earth, are also in motion. The Sun's gravity holds the planets in orbit around it, and they all revolve around the Sun in an elliptical path. Therefore, while the Sun may appear stationary in our daily lives due to its immense distance from us, it is actually part of a dynamic and constantly moving cosmic system.
