The nature of what happens inside a black hole is still an active topic of scientific research and is not yet fully understood. Our current understanding of physics breaks down at the extreme conditions found within a black hole, where the gravitational forces are incredibly strong.

According to our current understanding of particle physics, quarks are fundamental particles that make up protons and neutrons, which in turn form the nuclei of atoms. Our current theories and models cannot accurately describe the physics within a black hole's singularity.
