The composite particle that is comprised of three quarks is called a baryon. Baryons are a class of subatomic particles that are made up of three quarks bound together by the strong nuclear force. Protons and neutrons are examples of baryons, with protons consisting of two up quarks and one down quark, and neutrons consisting of two down quarks and one up quark. Other examples of baryons include hyperons and Delta particles.
