There are generally considered to be seven continents in the world. They are:
- Africa
- Antarctica
- Asia
- Europe
- North America
- Australia (sometimes referred to as Oceania)
- South America
This division is based on traditional and cultural distinctions, as well as geological and geographic factors. However, it's worth noting that the classification of continents can vary depending on different cultural, geopolitical, and scientific perspectives. Some sources may combine Europe and Asia into a single continent called Eurasia, while others may consider Europe and Asia as separate continents. Similarly, the continent of Australia/Oceania is sometimes considered to be part of the larger continent of Australasia.
