I believe you meant to ask if light travels faster than sound. Yes, light does indeed travel faster than sound. In a vacuum, such as outer space, light travels at a speed of approximately 299,792 kilometers per second (or about 186,282 miles per second) in a phenomenon known as the speed of light. Sound, on the other hand, travels through a medium, such as air or water, and its speed depends on the properties of that medium. In dry air at sea level, sound travels at around 343 meters per second (about 1,125 feet per second). Therefore, light travels significantly faster than sound in most everyday scenarios.
