The reason we do not hear the sound of light traveling from one place to another is because light is an electromagnetic wave, whereas sound is a mechanical wave. These two types of waves propagate through different mediums and have distinct properties.

Sound waves require a physical medium, such as air, water, or solids, to travel. When an object vibrates or moves, it creates changes in pressure in the surrounding medium, which propagate as compressions and rarefactions. Our ears detect these pressure changes as sound.

Since light does not rely on air or any other material to travel, there are no pressure changes or vibrations that our ears can detect as sound.
