While science fiction often explores concepts like warp drives or wormholes for faster-than-light travel, these are speculative ideas and not grounded in current scientific understanding. They serve as plot devices in fictional settings but do not have a basis in our present scientific knowledge.

Therefore, without the intervention of currently unknown physics or advanced extraterrestrial civilizations, it is unlikely that humans will achieve faster-than-light speeds in the future. It is important to approach such concepts with scientific skepticism while remaining open to future discoveries and advancements that may expand our understanding of the universe.
