Lithium (Li) has the same number of valence electrons as hydrogen. Both hydrogen and lithium have one valence electron. Hydrogen is in Group 1 of the periodic table, and lithium is also in Group 1. Elements in the same group of the periodic table have similar electronic configurations and tend to exhibit similar chemical properties. Therefore, hydrogen and lithium share the same number of valence electrons, which is one.
