No, the Moon does not have its own light. The Moon appears to shine because it reflects sunlight. The Sun is the primary source of light in our solar system, and its rays reach the Moon, reflecting off its surface and back to Earth. This reflected light is what makes the Moon visible to us. However, during a lunar eclipse, when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, the Moon can appear dim or even appear to have a reddish hue because it is only receiving indirect sunlight that has been scattered by Earth's atmosphere.
