To reduce blue light on an iPad, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPad.

  2. Tap on "Display & Brightness" in the left-hand menu.

  3. In the "Display & Brightness" settings, you will find a section called "Night Shift." Tap on it.

  4. Toggle the switch next to "Scheduled" to enable Night Shift. This will activate a feature that automatically adjusts the colors of your display to the warmer end of the spectrum during the evening and night hours.

  5. You can customize the schedule of Night Shift by tapping on "From/To" and selecting the desired start and end times. For example, you can set it to start at sunset and end at sunrise.

  6. To manually adjust the color temperature, you can use the "Color Temperature" slider. Moving it to the left will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the display.

  7. You can also enable "Night Shift" immediately by tapping on the "Manually Enable Until Tomorrow" option. This will activate Night Shift until the following day.

By reducing the blue light emitted from your iPad's display, especially during the evening and night, you can potentially minimize the impact on your sleep patterns and reduce eye strain.
