The reason we do not hear the sound of light traveling from one place to another is because light is an electromagnetic wave, whereas sound is a mechanical wave. Sound waves require a medium, such as air, water, or solids, to propagate and transmit vibrations. These vibrations then reach our ears, and we perceive them as sound.

On the other hand, light is composed of photons, which are particles that do not require a medium to propagate. Light can travel through a vacuum, such as outer space, where there is no air or other matter. It moves in the form of electromagnetic waves, which consist of oscillating electric and magnetic fields. These waves can be detected by our eyes, which are sensitive to the range of wavelengths known as the visible spectrum.

Since light does not rely on a medium to propagate, it does not create vibrations that could be detected by our ears. Therefore, we do not hear the sound of light traveling. The perception of light and sound involves different mechanisms and sensory organs in our body.
