Green light primarily absorbs red light. When white light, which contains a range of colors, passes through a green object, the object absorbs most of the colors except green. Instead, it reflects or transmits green light, giving the object its green appearance. In terms of the visible light spectrum, green light has a wavelength of approximately 495-570 nanometers.
