The wavelength of moonlight falls within the range of visible light. Visible light spans a spectrum of electromagnetic waves with wavelengths ranging approximately from 400 to 700 nanometers (nm). This range corresponds to the colors violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, with violet having the shortest wavelength and red having the longest. Moonlight, like sunlight, is a mixture of different colors, but it appears mostly white to the human eye.
